As a graduate from New Image College of Fine Arts Nail Technician, Spa Technician and Beauty Make-Up Programs, I couldn’t wait to begin my career! Immediately after commencing my schooling I sought out employment, only to find that the industry standards were not as high as my own. I founded Diamond Beauty in a corner of my bedroom where I was free to build a brand from scratch, where my exceptionally high standards could be shared with friends and family. Starting in 2015 at just 19 years old with a new shiny certificate proudly displayed on the wall, my mom began receiving compliments everywhere she went about the services I had performed on her. Soon, members of our community were begging to have the number of her artist, but she responded “Oh, my daughter is just practicing and fresh out of school.” Well, after many requests she finally came home one day and said “you need to make some business cards.” My dad sat down with me that night in front of his computer, and helped me design a website, business cards, and set me up with a professional email address. The day those cards arrived in the mail, my life changed.

Soon, my humble bedroom corner wasn’t able to accommodate the growing service list I had began offering, and I moved into half of my father’s home office with a curtain drawn as a divider. That didn’t last long either, as I soon expanded to the whole room, leaving my dad the kitchen counter as his “office”. I started a Instagram and YouTube channel where I shared my designs and knowledge and once again outgrew the space.

 

In 2019, my father and I officially registered my business as Partners, and we renovated the basement to be a full salon space, complete with a kitchen for tea & coffee, bathroom, private bedroom for spa services, and the main open space where I did hand and foot services, bookings & check outs and even had a couple of shelves on the wall with items for purchase. The following year I brought on my first team member and was able to offer side-by-side services for the first time. With this new growth, the dream of opening a commercial salon came into focus, and my parents and I began the search for the perfect place for Diamond Beauty to call its new home. After Covid was no longer delaying this big move, we found an existing salon space in Cloverdale. In what felt like the blink of an eye, I had signed a lease and began renovations, while simultaneously starting the search for more industry professionals much like myself.

Fast forward to 2025, and we’ve just completed our 2nd year in our Cloverdale location. My dad takes care of the financial back-end of our business, and my mom can be seen visiting the salon to lend a helping hand and ensure our space is always in pristine condition. In just 2 years our team has grown to 10, we’ve won 2 awards and we’re just getting started!!!

I am honoured to have built a trusted relationship with our South Surrey / White Rock locals over the last 10 years and receive 90% of our bookings purely through word-of-mouth  referrals.  We are extremely grateful of each of our clients loyalty, recommendations, reviews and referrals.
